Claire Bartlett hosts the “Me and My Racquet“ podcast on behalf of USTA Southern. Like many of us, she started her podcast during the pandemic to be able to connect over the sport we all love to chat about.
Claire is the Tennis Service Representative for North Georgia and Atlanta. Claire played college tennis at the University of Florida where her team won the NCAA Championship. Also, she and her mother won the 2003 National Mother-Daughter Championship!
In this episode, she tells us what a Tennis Service Representative does, the best advice she has ever been given (and it was from her mom), and her most memorable moment on the court. We also did a fun podcast swap with Claire! You can find that here.
Locked Down with Nowhere to Go
During the lockdown, she still wanted to connect with her tennis contacts but wasn’t able to see them in person. She started regular zoom meetings and decided to start recording the conversations. Soon after, she realized the stories she was hearing were so interesting that she released them as a podcast.
‘Me and My Racquet’ Inspiration
‘Me and My Racquet’ podcast host, Claire, describes her podcast as a show about tennis industry professionals sharing their passion, and purpose. She, and her listeners, connect over their love of tennis. Speaking with guests from the tennis industry, they give insight into the tennis industry, best practices/tips, and share lessons they’ve learned through their experiences.
