This week, Carolyn and Erin are talking to Brian Rosenthal – Raleigh Pro League’s newest Director! Brian has been a player since 2017 but now making his debut as the director.

About The Raleigh Pro League

The Raleigh Pro League is a professional tennis league in the greater Raleigh, North Carolina area. It features area teaching pros, former college players, former touring pros, former Davis Cup players, and other high-level players competing weekly for prize money and the league championship.

Brian’s Tennis Background

Brian was a top-ten junior in Florida and played for NC State University. He started a tennis management company called RDUTennis in 2007. He trained at the Rick Macci Tennis Academy with Andy Roddick and both Williams’ sisters. Find out if he ever played them or beat them!

Finding His Way Back to Competing

After Brian’s long childhood and college career as a tennis player, he quit playing (right after his last NCAA match vs. Duke University). He started playing golf but after having two children, his wife wasn’t happy with Brian being gone for 6+ hours a day. She encouraged him to pick up his tennis racquet again.

In 2016 he started hitting with friends and getting more comfortable on a court again. By 2017 he started playing in the Raleigh Pro League (RPL). Brian said he found the love to compete again when he started playing in front of crowds (which sometimes were bigger than college crowds).
